For those of you that do not know Anna Briggs, she is a member at The Lamb’s chapel, and we helped her get to France for a mission trip. Having worked with her on a mission trip before, I can say that she is one of the hardest workers I know. Her work is not just for work sake, it is for the Kingdom. She loves Jesus and she loves stepping out of her comfort zone and doing things that help her grow in her faith in Jesus Christ. Stepping out in faith is exactly what she did this past month as she went to France on a mission trip and had the opportunity to share her faith through street evangelism, singing, playing the piano, sharing her testimony and ministering in churches. She had many opportunities to work with children to share how God was working in her life and also hear from a pastor and his wife wisdom about living out your faith. In the world we now live, many would think, why France? France has become a nation that was more Christian in the 90’s than now. Because of the influx of anti-Christian ideologies and political shifts, much like the United States, France is now at an all-time low in those that believe there is a God and at an all-time high in those that say there is no God or claim to be not religious at all. So for Anna, France was an open door to share her faith. With Catholicism making up most of the Christians in France, there was also great opportunity to share about the grace of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” This is truly the message of the gospel and Anna had a great time sharing. Please pray for Anna as she is now home and looking forward to what God has in store for her next.
